Upgrading, downgrading and cancelling
How to move between Free, Launch and Agency — what happens immediately, what waits for the end of the period you already paid for, and how to undo it.
Every plan change happens on one page: Billing in the dashboard sidebar. Payments run through Stripe, so your card details never reach Uruvak. Two rules cover nearly everything on this page. A change that costs more money happens straight away. A change that costs less money waits until the end of the period you have already paid for — and you can undo it right up to that date.
Your first paid plan#
Open Billing and pick your cycle
The Monthly / Yearly toggle sits to the right of the word "Plans". Yearly is selected when the page opens. Choose before you press a plan button — the toggle decides what checkout charges you.
Press the plan button
Switch to Launch or Switch to Agency. A confirmation box appears and nothing is charged yet. It reads "You'll be taken to secure checkout for Launch — $33/mo — billed at $390/year." Press Continue to checkout to go on, or Keep current plan to back out.
Pay on Stripe's page
Uruvak hands the whole window over to Stripe. If you have a promotion code, this page is the only place in the entire product with a box for it — there is no coupon field in the dashboard and you cannot apply one afterwards.
Come back to Billing
Stripe returns you to the Billing page. Uruvak re-checks your subscription on the way in, so the new plan name, the green "Active" badge and an infinity sign under "Live Publish" should already be there. If they aren't, reload the page once.
Changing plan once you are already paying#
After that first payment you never see Stripe's checkout again. Uruvak changes the subscription in place, and the timing depends entirely on which direction you are going.
| Change | When it takes effect | What you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Free → Launch or Agency | After checkout | Charged now |
| Launch → Agency | Immediately | The prorated difference, now |
| Monthly → Yearly | Immediately | The prorated difference, now |
| Agency → Launch | End of the current period | Nothing today |
| Yearly → Monthly | End of the current period | Nothing today |
| Any paid plan → Free | End of the current period | Nothing, and no refund |
The wording changes with the direction, so read it rather than the button:
| It says | It means | Button |
|---|---|---|
| You'll be taken to secure checkout for Launch — $33/mo — billed at $390/year. | First paid plan | Continue to checkout |
| You'll be charged the prorated difference now and moved to Agency ($124/mo — billed at $1490/year) immediately. | Upgrade, effective now | Upgrade to Agency |
| You'll stay on Agency until 3/14/2026, then switch to Launch ($33/mo — billed at $390/year). No charge today. | Downgrade, scheduled | Schedule switch |
| You'll keep Launch until 3/14/2026, then move to Free. Your apps stay live. | Cancellation, scheduled | Cancel plan |
The left-hand button is always Keep current plan and it changes nothing.
Cancelling#
To cancel, press Switch to Free on the Free card and confirm with the red Cancel plan. You keep everything you are paying for until the date in the dialog, then drop to Free.
What cancelling does not do:
- It deletes nothing. Your stores, your designs, your drafts, your published app and your past releases all stay exactly where they are.
- It does not take your app down. The published app keeps serving whatever you last published. Your shoppers see no difference at all.
- It does not remove your app from Google Play. You uploaded that APK under your own developer account, so only you can take it down.
- It does not refund the rest of the period. You already paid for it, so you keep it until the end.
Undoing a downgrade or a cancellation#
Nothing money-down is final until the date arrives. Until then the Billing page carries an amber banner and a Keep my plan button that puts everything back, at no cost.
Press Keep my plan and the scheduled change is dropped — you stay on your current plan and cycle, and your renewal date is unchanged. Once the date has passed you are on Free for real, and coming back means going through Stripe's checkout again.
When a payment fails#
If a renewal is declined, a red banner appears at the top of Billing:
Your payment failed. Update your card to keep your plan — paid actions (builds, publishing, campaigns) are paused until it's resolved.
Press Update payment to go to Stripe and put a working card on file.
The card, invoices and receipts#
On any paid plan the current-plan card carries a Manage billing button, with "Update your card, download invoices, or cancel." beside it. It opens Stripe's own billing portal in the same window, and that is where every invoice and receipt lives — Uruvak does not keep its own copies for you to download.
The button is not shown at all on Free, because there is nothing to manage until you have subscribed once.
Downgrading when you have more stores than the new plan allows#
Agency runs five stores, Launch and Free run one. Uruvak will not silently pick which of your stores to keep, so a downgrade with too many active stores is refused up front, as a red banner on Billing:
Launch includes 1 store. You have 3 — archive or remove 2 to switch.
Archive first, then switch. Archiving lives on this same page.
Find the store in 'Stores on this plan'
Every connected store has a row there, with its name, its address and a small button on the right.
Press Archive
The row dims, an "Archived" badge appears next to the name, and the button becomes Restore. Archived stores stop counting against your plan limit immediately.
Now change plan
Go back to the plan cards and press the button for the plan you want. With the store count inside the new limit, the switch is accepted and scheduled for your renewal date.
Restoring is the same button in reverse, but it re-checks your plan first. If there is no room you get "Store limit reached (1/1). Upgrade your plan to add more stores." and the store stays archived.
If a plan ends while you still have extra stores#
If you cancel or downgrade without archiving — for example a payment fails and the plan lapses — Uruvak keeps your oldest stores, up to what the new plan allows, and marks the rest "Locked" on the Billing page. That badge appears nowhere else, so Billing is where to look if a store starts refusing you.
A locked store's live app keeps running normally for shoppers. What you lose is publishing and releasing:
This store is over your plan's limit (Free includes 1 store). Resubscribe or archive another store to edit it.
Undoing a publish is blocked on a locked store too, so a bad publish stays live until you free the slot or resubscribe. Archiving one of your other stores unlocks it.
When something doesn't work#
"Billing is not configured yet — please try again later." Nothing you can fix. Paid plan changes are temporarily unavailable; the Free plan carries on working. Try again later or contact support.
Your plan still looks wrong after paying. Uruvak re-checks your subscription the moment you return from the payment page, so the right plan is normally there already. Reload Billing once. If it is still wrong after that, contact support with the date and the email on the payment — do not pay again.
You want to apply a discount code to an existing subscription. You cannot. Codes are only accepted on Stripe's checkout page, which you only see when you take your first paid plan.
You were expecting a free trial. There isn't one. Free is the trial — it is a real plan with 5 Live Publishes and no expiry date.
If a message you are seeing is not covered here, Error messages, decoded lists them all with what each one actually means.
